Fruit - Organic Lady Alice Apple
The heirloom-like Lady Alice apple is similar to a fine wine – flavorful and complex. The apples are harvested in the fall and in storage their flavor peaks. They are characterized by pink and red striping over a banana-yellow background. The taste is sweet with notes of vanilla, juicy and crisp, with a hint of tartness.
The Lady Alice apple is produced and marketed in the United States solely by Rainier Fruit in Washington state.
Apples are high in potassium and Vitamin C. They also contain a specific source of fiber called pectin, along with the antioxidants quercetin, catechin, and chlorogenic acid.
Lady Alice apples are small to medium in size.
